Ghana's Spirit Children: Photographs by Carrie Brown

October 26 to November 11

The Photography Center of the Capital District is pleased to assist in the 2018 fund-raising efforts of Kekeli, Inc. with the publication of a book — Ghana's Spirit Children — and accompanying exhibition. Carrie Brown’s compelling images are on display at the Photography Center of the Capital District from October 26 to November 11, 2018. Carrie’s not-for-profit organization, Kekeli, Inc., has been dedicated to addressing human rights issues in Ghana, West
Africa, for the past decade.

Ghana’s Spirit Children will open your eyes to the plight of children with disabilities in Ghana. “Was this disability caused by some evil spiritual force? How can I pay for the services my child needs? Will my child be able to do any of the things other children do?” These are some of the questions parents ask when they discover their child has a disability. Kekeli’s mission is to support these parents and help their children with disabilities reach their full potential.

During the exhibit signed books and photographs are available for modest contributions to Kekeli, Inc.
